The United Muslim Organizations of Ottawa-Gatineua (UMO-OG) was awarded the Ottawa Public Library Order of Friendship Award this morning. The award was accepted by Jalil Marhnouj (President of AMA Community Centre) on their behalf.
UMO-OG was recognized for its impact in the community via its partnership with the Ottawa Public Library to deliver Summer Reading Club Make-It-Kits to vulnerable children aged 6 – 12 and their role in supporting Ottawa residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, engaging 250+ volunteers for a variety of projects.
