Saturday, June 3 was the first day of the Doors Open Ottawa initiative by the City to promote tours of over a 100 buildings throughout the city.
These buildings ranged from churches to mosques to old venues of historical importance. Our mosque and community centre is one of them.
We opened up our building to the entire community to come and visit. There were tours of the mosque and centre. We were honoured to have 155 guests join us and they were wonderfully pleased with the tours. Of the 155 guests we had 35 survey forms filled out. From the results we learned that 100% of the guests rated their tour visit as either “excellent” or “good.”
Here are some notable quotes:
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions appropriately & sufficiently.
The tour was fantastic. We learn a lot. Very kind people.
The tour was very informative. It is our first visit to a mosque.
